Transfer Rumours: PSG Eye Michael Olise as Arsenal Chase Nico Williams

transfer rumours psg olise

The transfer rumour mill is spinning hard this summer, and the headlines keep coming thick and fast. Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly plotting a move for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, according to L’Equipe — and they’re not alone. Real Madrid have also been linked with a staggering €150 million bid for the France international, who delivered 15 goals and 21 assists in an outstanding Bundesliga campaign. Bayern chairman Herbert Hainer has insisted Olise is not for sale, and the 23-year-old is contracted until 2029. But in this market? Nothing stays impossible for long.

PSG Transfer Target Olise Tops a Wild Summer Wish List

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s pursuit of Athletic Club winger Nico Williams refuses to die. TEAMtalk report the Premier League champions remain keen on the Spain forward despite him signing a fresh long-term deal last year. Williams, 23, is said to be weighing his options following a difficult season disrupted by a groin injury. Elsewhere, Manchester United have joined Manchester City in the hunt for Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, 26, according to Sky Sports. City had been circling as a potential replacement for Savinho — reportedly bound for Tottenham — but United are equally desperate to strengthen ahead of their Champions League return. On the subject of City, Florian Plettenberg reports they have offered Josko Gvardiol a new contract running until 2031. The Croatia defender, 24, has two years left at the Etihad but spent much of this campaign sidelined with a broken leg. He’ll face a choice this summer: extend or chase Real Madrid. Our piece on Real Madrid’s transfer plans under Mourinho gives you a sense of just how serious Los Blancos are about bolstering their squad.

Anderson Battle, Tonali’s San Siro Dream and More Rumours Flying

In what is shaping up as one of the most dramatic midfield sagas of the summer, Manchester City have submitted a verbal bid of £106 million for Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, with add-ons potentially pushing it past £120 million. Forest, however, want £120 million upfront. United, who had flagged Anderson as a priority, are now stepping back over those valuations. Sandro Tonali’s future at Newcastle United is also in the spotlight. TEAMtalk suggest AC Milan are exploring routes to bring the 26-year-old back to San Siro, despite Newcastle’s £100 million asking price. Arsenal, United and City have all sniffed around too — but Tonali’s heart reportedly lies in Milan. Additionally, Barcelona have confirmed the permanent signing of Egyptian teenager Hamza Abdelkarim from Al Ahly for €1.5 million, following a successful loan spell with their youth sides since January. Tottenham, meanwhile, have confirmed the signing of Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi on a free transfer — head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s second capture of the summer after Andy Robertson arrived from Liverpool. Rounding off the snippets: Chelsea are set to sign Wigan Athletic’s Harrison Bettoni, 18, ahead of Manchester City and AC Milan; Aston Villa are tracking Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, 23, as a potential replacement for Emiliano Martinez; and Arsenal Women’s Caitlin Foord has penned a new two-year deal, the Australia international having made 203 appearances and scored 57 goals since joining from Sydney FC in 2020.
