Transfer News: Bayern Target Vlahovic, United Close In On Éderson

The summer transfer window is heating up fast. Bayern Munich have made contact with Juventus over a move for striker Dušan Vlahović, while Manchester United edge closer to a deal for Atalanta midfielder Éderson. Here is your essential transfer news roundup for today.

Transfer News: Vlahović, Danilo and the Big-Money Moves Taking Shape

According to Tuttosport, Bayern Munich have reached out to Juventus regarding Dušan Vlahović, viewing the 26-year-old as a back-up option to Harry Kane. It is a smart bit of business on paper — Vlahović becomes a free agent next month, having scored seven goals in 19 Serie A appearances last season, including a brace in the 2-2 draw with Torino on the final day. However, Bayern are not alone. Newcastle United and Napoli are also circling, so this one could get competitive quickly.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are tracking Botafogo’s Danilo alongside AC Milan, per UOL. Both clubs have reportedly tabled offers for the 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who features in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the 2026 World Cup. Danilo has prior experience in England with Nottingham Forest and is eager to return to Europe. That said, Botafogo are in no rush — his value could rise significantly off the back of a strong tournament.

Elsewhere, United have walked away from a deal for Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson. The 23-year-old England international is reportedly keen on joining Manchester City instead, and City are now optimistic of landing him. United, for their part, are unwilling to meet the £100 million valuation — and, as mentioned, their focus has shifted firmly to Atalanta’s Éderson, with a fee of around £35 million agreed. ESPN report that Éderson is set to become the first arrival at Old Trafford this summer.

Gordon, Álvarez, and the Moves Reshaping Europe’s Top Clubs

Barcelona have been busy. They have agreed a €70 million deal, plus add-ons, with Newcastle United to bring in Anthony Gordon. Furthermore, the Spanish champions are turning their attention to Atlético Madrid’s Julián Álvarez, with sources telling ESPN that the Argentina forward would favour a move to the Nou Camp over interest from PSG and Arsenal. For the latest on that saga, we have the full story on the Álvarez tapping-up row right here.

In other developments, RB Leipzig are digging their heels in over 19-year-old winger Yan Diomandé, despite interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG. Leipzig qualified for next season’s Champions League and have no intention of selling, even at a reported €100 million. PSG want him as a replacement for Bradley Barcola, but Leipzig’s resolve makes this a tough one to crack.

On the striker front, Arsenal are asking clubs to meet a £20 million fee for Gabriel Jesus, 29, who managed just three Premier League starts last season. AC Milan have been linked, though Jesus has also expressed a long-term desire to return to Palmeiras. Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, have verbally agreed to sign Andrew Robertson on a free when his Liverpool deal expires, and are also eyeing Manchester City winger Savinho. Busy times at Spurs.

Finally, Juventus are considering a move for Al Hilal’s Darwin Núñez, Liverpool want to keep Alisson for another season, and Inter Milan are in talks with Liverpool over a €30 million deal for Curtis Jones. The window is only just getting started.
