Women’s golf retail is getting a serious upgrade in the south east. Horsham Golf in West Sussex is opening a brand-new boutique shopping space called edit on Saturday, 23rd May — and it’s built entirely around the female golfer. If you’ve ever walked into a traditional pro shop and felt completely overlooked, this one’s for you.
Women’s Golf Retail Finally Gets the Space It Deserves
The edit concept is housed in a standalone building near Horsham Golf’s main facilities, deliberately separate from the standard pro shop setup. It’s a curated, boutique-style environment stocked with apparel, footwear and accessories from heavy-hitting brands — Ping, Röhnisch, G/FORE, J.Lindeberg, Glenmuir, Adidas, Puma and Under Armour all feature. The focus sits squarely on performance meeting style, with consistent sizing front and centre. That last point matters more than people realise. Inconsistent fit has long been one of the biggest complaints in women’s golf kit, and edit is taking direct aim at it.
Furthermore, the space has been designed to feel genuinely welcoming — not as an afterthought, but as the entire point. A dedicated changing area, expert advice from a female member of the retail team, and a calm browsing environment all come as standard. The women’s game is growing at a real pace, and Horsham Golf’s General Manager, Mike Yorke, knows it. He put it plainly: “The retail experience for female golfers has traditionally been limited and impersonal, yet the women’s game is growing rapidly. With edit, we wanted to create a warm, welcoming environment where women can browse leading brands in comfort, whether independently or with friends.”
Private Bookings, Vouchers and a Proper Launch Day
Beyond the walk-in experience, edit is also available for private bookings — individuals or groups of up to five can reserve exclusive access to the store. It’s a smart touch that turns shopping into an occasion. Customers who pre-book also receive a £10 voucher to spend during their visit, which is a decent incentive to plan ahead rather than simply turning up.
The official launch takes place on Saturday, 23rd May, with the store open to all from 10am to 5pm. Horsham Golf itself offers an 18-hole course, a 9-hole par-3 course and a 16-bay covered driving range — so there’s plenty to make a full day of it.
